1. What is LostFindr?
LostFindr is a mobile application designed to help users to secure the belongings by generating unique alphanumeric codes of 9 characters i.e. [AG8-P76-GMM] and attaching them to their items using labels or tags. In the unfortunate event of losing an item, these codes facilitate easy communication between the finder and the owner through the LostFindr app for your IOS and Android device.
2. How does LostFindr work?
LostFindr allows users to generate up to three unique alphanumeric codes within the app. Users can then create labels or tags, mentioning the code and the website name associated with it, and attach/paste them to their belongings. If an item is lost and found by someone, the Finder can install the LostFindr app, use the code mentioned on the tag to initiate contact with the owner directly through the app.
3. How do I generate codes on LostFindr?
To generate codes on LostFindr, simply register with your mobile number and navigate to the Home screen to generate the codes. You can generate up to three unique alphanumeric codes per user account. These codes can be generated automatically or you can generate your own customized codes as per your preference. These codes will remain associated with your account.
4. How can I create labels/tags with the codes?
LostFindr does not allow users to create labels/tags within the app. These labels/tags can be created on paper as stickers including the information such as the generated code and the LostFindr website name i.e. www.lostfindr.com . Once created, users can attach these labels/tags to their belongings for easy identification and contact in case of loss.
5. What should I do if I find a lost item with a LostFindr label/tag?
If you find an item with a LostFindr label/tag, simply install the LostFindr app (IOS / Android) on your mobile device. Then, use the code mentioned on the tag to initiate contact with the owner directly through the app. LostFindr provides a seamless platform for communication between finders and owners, ensuring lost items are returned to their rightful owners efficiently. You need not to register in the app to initiate the conversation.
6. Is my information safe on LostFindr?
LostFindr prioritizes user privacy and data security. Your information is encrypted and stored securely within the app. Additionally, LostFindr adheres to strict privacy policies to safeguard user data at all times. It will be up to the owner/finder of the item to share their details in order to get/return the item back.
7. How many codes can I generate with LostFindr?
You can generate up to three unique alphanumeric codes i.e. [AG8-P76-GMM] using LostFindr.
8. Can I customize the codes generated by LostFindr?
Yes, LostFindr allows you to create 9-digit custom codes for your items using alphabets (A-Z) and numbers (0-9).
9. Is LostFindr free to use?
Yes, LostFindr is free to download and use. Users can generate codes via application, create labels/tags manually to use on the items and communicate with the finder without any cost.
10. Is LostFindr available on both iOS and Android devices?
Yes, LostFindr is available for both iOS and Android devices. You can download the app from the respective app stores and start using it to secure your belongings and facilitate the return of lost items.
11. Can I delete my account?
Yes, LostFindr allows you to delete your account. You can log in into the application and navigate to the menu. There you will see an option of Profile. Under Profile, you will get an option of “Delete Account”. If you delete your account, all your information and related details will be deleted. Alternatively, you can request for deletion of your account, by submitting the form here.
